PROJECT MANAGEMENT CYCLE

Project management consists of planning, conducting and monitoring actions related to the overall project action plan in tune with the organization’s strategy. Through Project Cycle Management, all the steps involved in project implementation, activities, launching, recruitment, monitoring, communication, reporting, etc. are analyzed, which will be explored in the following modules.

COUNTRY, PROJECT COORDINATION AND THE INTERNAL RELATIONS SYSTEM

This module provides an overview of the project’s internal relations system in both hierarchical directions of the organizational chart: the country coordinator manages the relationship with the other project leaders, who in turn coordinate the staff on the ground.

THE PROJECT CONTRACT

Guide to the key elements of a project contract, distinguishing between donors’ guidelines, general conditions, and special conditions. The purpose is to raise awareness on a preliminary understanding of the contract for subsequent good project management, through examples of contracts with different donors.

Presentation on the different types of partnerships and consortia in project management and implementation, the diversity that exists among categories of potential partners, and good rules for the management of agreements. After a general overview on the concept of Partners and on the limitations and potential of this form of collaboration, the module covers the criteria to be used for their selection as well as the formal instruments necessary to regulate the relationship between the parties (Memorandum of Understanding). Understanding the financial plan used by major donors, plus insights into creating a project budget as a starting point for the sustainability of the project itself.

Guidelines for managing purchases from proposal requests to delivery, ensuring cost eligibility. Includes methods for vouchers and cash transfers, with a practical exercise.
